About Nala

Written: 6/21/26 Age: 4 months, born Feb. 2026 Current Weight: 15lbs Estimated Adult Weight: 45-60lbs Breed: beagle/yellow Labrador retriever mix Meet Nala! This sweet tripod girl is ready for her furever home! Before coming to B&B, Nala was brought into the vet with a wound that was infected. Her owner surrendered her and she got a leg amputation. But this brave girl will not let it stop her! Nala is such a great, low energy girl even in her puppy stages! She does well with kids, cats, an dogs! She would love being with another small dog with low energy, but would also be fine alone with lots of love! She responds well to direction like no and outside. She is working on her crate training and doing well! She is also working on her potty training and has been doing amazing as long as she is taken out consistently! She has truly mastered getting around on three legs including conquering stairs! She is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required spay when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dogs age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. To apply to adopt Nala, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt. Spay/Neuter Disclosure: Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics. Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption. Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
