Bowen is a young, male Beagle with a brown and chocolate short coat, living in Richmond, VA. He is neutered and house trained, and his vaccinations are current. As a medium-sized dog, Bowen has been receiving structure and training in a unique program designed to set him up for success in a home environment.

About Bowen

Bowen is living and training alongside his handler at Lawrenceville Correctional Center, thanks to a unique partnership between the Virginia Department of Corrections and Pixie's Pen Pals from FETCH a Cure. He’s getting hands-on, one-on-one attention from his handler, learning new skills and socializing with careful guidance from canine behaviorists. All the structure helps Bowen grow into a well-mannered, confident dog who's ready for life outside the program. He’s picking up house training and basic cues, and benefits from both mental and physical enrichment every day. Bowen also gets along well with other dogs, making him a strong match for a multi-dog home or anyone who appreciates a shepherded transition. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
