Meet Butters At approximately 8 years old and 14 pounds, Butters is proof that personality can absolutely outweigh size. Before we discuss anything else, let's address the ears. One stands up. One flops over. We don't know why. The ear doesn't know why. Butters doesn't know why. We've decided not to ask questions because it's possibly the cutest thing we've ever seen. Butters is a happy little guy who loves kids, gets along great with cats, and enjoys the company of dogs both big and small. He's crate trained, affectionate, playful, and always ready to see what everyone else is doing. If there's fun to be had, Butters would like to be included. He's also got just enough mischief to keep life interesting. Like many small dogs, Butters occasionally believes that rules are open to interpretation and may require a brief discussion before he agrees to cooperate. The good news is that he's smart, eager to learn, and responds beautifully to patience and consistency. Butters came to us after losing his home through no fault of his own. Despite that, he's remained a social, loving little dog who genuinely enjoys both people and other animals. His foster family quickly discovered that beneath those adorable ears is a sweet companion who simply wants to be loved and included.
