Widget is a five-year-old Chihuahua mix that was recently picked up by Animal Control. It was an upsetting situation, because the person that called found Widget in his yard and Widget had killed many of his chickens. She was taken to the shelter and was never claimed by her owners. We got her ready for adoption by giving her all of her vaccinations, we gave her a microchip, and we had her spayed. Unfortunately, Widget is heartworm positive. We already have that "plan" in place to have her treated. Now all she needs is a foster home where she can stay during her treatment and hopefully that will become her "forever" home. She needs a home without any "farm" fowl like chickens or ducks.
