Hazel was rescued from heartbreaking conditions in Florida City, where she was kept in a small bird cage alongside another female cat. The cats were unable to roam and lived in unsanitary conditions. Fortunately, Hazel was one of four adult females and four kittens brought to safety and given a chance at a better life. These days, Hazel adores attention, welcomes gentle pets, and enjoys spending time with her favorite humans. She's looking for a home where she can be the only cat, allowing her to feel safe and relaxed. A calm, loving environment where someone understands that special-needs cats often have the biggest hearts would be ideal for her.
