All dogs and cats are fostered in volunteer homes with retirees, or with working families, kids and teenagers, other dogs and sometimes cats too. When your application is approved, we put you in touch with the foster for FaceTime so you can see your puppy in real time and ask questions. It's a process that's worked for hundreds of dogs over the past fifteen years. We start crate training puppies about ten weeks and send our crate training sheet with every adoption. A fence is not required to adopt a puppy. All dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption. Spayed/neutered, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormed, parasite prevention. Any medical issue that was treated is fully disclosed. All dogs and cats come with medical records. There is lots of room to write on the application. Please tell us about yourself, and your pets, current or previous. Ella turned four years old this spring. She's a good girl that loves walks and adventures with her foster Mom. Ella lives in a Birmingham Alabama foster home with a working couple, other dogs, and she sees cats occasionally, but she doesn't interact with them. She's separate. Her Foster Mom has good things to say about this dog. She thinks that Ella needs a fenced yard and someone active that will keep her walking because she enjoys it and it's good for her body and her soul. Ella has not lived with young children or any children that we are aware of, so we prefer older kids or teenagers in the home. Transportation is included in the total adoption fee. We have to pay for every animal that we send North on Transport.
