Billie is a sweet young beagle, around 1 year old, part of a group of 13 that we’re helping to find loving homes. These dogs have faced significant challenges, growing up mostly in cages, which has made them quite fearful. They require special placements that can provide a nurturing environment. A securely fenced yard is essential, and they should be in a home without small children; however, children over 10 are welcome if they are mature and considerate. Billie's ideal companion would be a confident, dog-friendly dog who can help her gain confidence. It's important that her new owner is patient and experienced, as she may take time to adjust. Initially, expect some potty accidents and perhaps a need for indoor crates to help her settle in. Earning her trust and affection is a gradual process, but it will be tremendously rewarding.
