Meet Kobe, a gentle giant in search of his forever retirement home. This 8-year-old, neutered Great Pyrenees weighs in at a robust 95 lbs and is ready to enjoy his golden years in a loving family. Kobe is a former Dog Ambassador for the San Diego Humane Society and has a heart full of love for people, attention, and companionship. Having lived with children his entire life, he is excellent with them and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and even small animals. He embodies calm, friendly, and easygoing traits. Kobe delights in meeting new faces, relishes grooming sessions, and treasures family time. His favorite pastimes include devouring grilled steak, cuddling, and just being around his loved ones. He has undergone formal obedience training and knows several commands. Kobe does not experience separation anxiety, handling new environments with ease. As a Great Pyrenees, he thrives best with a family that appreciates the breed's loyalty, observant demeanor, and protective nature, particularly enjoying outdoor spaces where he can relax and also keep watch. Kobe was diagnosed with epilepsy after a seizure episode in 2023, but his condition has been effectively controlled with medication since that time. He’s being rehomed because his current family is relocating overseas and believes travel would be stressful for him at his age.
