About Basil
Basil is a sweet, sensitive puppy with a gentle soul and a deep capacity for affection. He’s reserved at first, but once he feels safe, he softens into loving closeness and craves time with his people. Basil spent his first few months outdoors in a field with his littermates, braving difficult conditions until rescue. Now indoors, he’s discovering comfort for the first time—a soft bed, calm companionship, and patient support as he builds confidence in a new world. Believed to be a Great Pyrenees mix, possibly with some Dachshund or Beagle, Basil has a soft, fluffy coat and calm, expressive eyes. His easygoing temperament makes him especially endearing. He enjoys gentle play and quiet time, and he’s happiest in a caring home that will give him the time and reassurance he needs. Basil is neutered, up to date on vaccines, house trained, and ready for the stability and affection he missed out on early in life. Basil gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, making him a good fit for many home settings. Click apply to start the adoption process.
