Meet Lolly We are convinced Lolly escaped from a cartoon. We dont have any proof. But look at her. One blue eye. One brown eye. Giant ears. Tiny little body. A permanent smile on her face. This dog looks like she was created by a Disney animator who couldnt decide which features were the cutest, so they used all of them. The funny thing about Lolly is that shes not trying to impress anyone. She doesnt know shes adorable. She doesnt know people stop and talk about her eyes. She doesnt know the volunteers argue over who gets to take her outside. She just wakes up every day and says: Is today the day were running around the yard? Because if the answer is yes, shes all in. Lolly doesnt stroll. Lolly doesnt casually explore. Lolly blasts into the play yard like she has a very important toddler meeting to attend. She runs a lap. Then another. Then another. Then she suddenly remembers a leaf she saw three minutes ago and has to go investigate it immediately. She lives life at full speed. And then, when shes done being busy, shell sit and look at you with those mismatched eyes like shes trying to figure out why everyone keeps telling her shes special. The truth is, she is. Shes one of those dogs that makes people smile without even trying. Shes one of those dogs that volunteers talk about after they leave. Shes one of those dogs that should have been home a long time ago. Instead, shes still here waiting for someone to notice that beneath all the cute is actually a really good dog. A clean kennel. Good leash manners. A happy spirit. And a heart that is more than ready for a family of her own.
