About Roxie
Meet Roxanne—Roxie for short! Roxie is one of those dogs who loves being as close to her person as possible. She’s crate-trained, house-trained, and devoted to her people, taking the role of “velcro dog” seriously. Roxie thrives on play, especially running in the yard, and she’ll need a securely fenced outdoor space to burn off her energy. She’s always up for toys and needs plenty of tough chews since she’s a determined power chewer. Roxie gets along with other dogs and even resident cats, though she might try to pull them into her games. She does best with an active family willing to give her lots of attention. However, Roxie is very fearful of men and can react defensively, so her adopter needs patience, experience, and a gentle approach as she builds confidence. She hasn't spent time with young children, so a home without little kids, or adopters ready to carefully supervise, is ideal. With consistency and love, Roxie will give absolute loyalty, affection, and steadfast companionship. If you want a playful best friend who’s always by your side, Roxie is here to meet you.
