Meet Stanley! Some dogs come to rescue with a story that breaks your heartand then inspires you all at the same time. Stanley is one of those dogs. Stanley was found living in an abandoned barn in Cocke County alongside his companion, Helen, and four puppies. They were dirty, hungry, thirsty, exhausted, and simply trying to survive. Despite the odds stacked against them, Stanley and Helen managed to keep themselves and their puppies alive in conditions no dog should ever have to endure. We truly believe Stanley and Helen are two of the smartest and strongest dogs we've met. Their resilience, devotion, and determination carried their little family through an incredibly difficult chapter. When Stanley arrived at Noah's Arc, he tested positive for heartworms. Like everything else life has thrown his way, he faced it head-on and has successfully completed treatment. Now he's healthy, happy, and ready to start the life he has always deserved. Stanley is a small, full-grown boy with a heart much bigger than his size. While he has proven he can survive the toughest circumstances, what he really wants these days is much simplera soft bed, a loving family, and a lap to curl up in. In fact, being in someone's lap is one of his favorite places to be. After everything he's been through, we would love to see Stanley find a home where he can finally rest, be spoiled, and know that he'll never have to worry about where his next meal or safe place to sleep will come from again. This sweet boy has spent enough time surviving. It's his turn to start living.
