Chelseas story didnt begin with the comfort every dog deserves. She and her loyal buddy Teddy were discovered abandoned in a park, left to fend for themselves with little understanding of why their world had suddenly changed. Frightened and uncertain, the two stuck close together, unsure of the people who came near them and not expecting even the simplest acts of kindness. When they arrived in rescue, everything was newand a little overwhelming. Regular meals, fresh water, a safe place to sleep, and gentle hands offering affection were things Chelsea and Teddy had clearly gone without for far too long. At first, she and Teddy approached this new life cautiously, learning slowly that kindness was real and that they were finally safe. But what a difference love can make. Today, Chelsea and Teddy have blossomed into wiggling lovebugs whose tails seems to have a life of their own. Her bond with Teddy remains strong, and together theyve shown just how resilient and loving dogs can be when given a second chance. Now Chelsea and Teddy are ready for the next chapter of storya forever home filled with the warmth, comfort, and love they always deserved but had to wait a little longer to find. All of our animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, current on flea and tick treatments, dewormed, and treated for any ailments encountered during veterinary exams. Dogs are heartworm negative and cats are combo tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. An application does not obligate you to adopt. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will be in touch as soon as possible.
