WEEKEND ADOPTION EVENTS: SATURDAY, JUNE 20 from 12-3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT at the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes! SATURDAY, JUNE 20 from 12 TO 3PM: PET ADOPTION EVENT at the MERRIAM PETSMART located at 5810 Antioch Rd, Merriam, KS 66202. Join us at Merriam Petsmart and meet your perfect match. Well have DOGS, PUPPIES & KITTIES ready to steal your heart! ----------- Meet CHLOE! This girl is an absolute sweetheart whose goal in life is to love and be loved! She is a super affectionate cuddle bug who just wants to be near you. And that face-- who would not want to look at that adorable and adoring face all day??!!! Chloe is gentle and calm. She's good with other dogs. Chloe is a 4 year old American Bulldog mix. She weighs 72 lbs. Sadly, someone cropped her ears. And of course did not provide her with heartworm prevention--Chloe tested positive for heartworms. But please don't let this scare you away! We just need to get her into a home during her treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about her heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering her (we'd love to find her a foster home!). Once her treatment plan is completed, Chloe will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions! Meanwhile, Chloe wants you to know that she's here ready and waiting to share lots of snuggles and love with her new family-- no restrictions there! ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
