Meet Everything, the Pup Who's Ready to be Someone's Everything! At just 4 months old and 12 pounds, I may be the smallest of my friends here at DCHS, but I'm also the bravest. New things still feel scary, but I'm determined to check them out anyway. The world is a big place, and I'm looking for a patient, experienced family who can help me discover it one step at a time. I've missed out on a lot of the everyday things puppies usually get to experience, so I'll need someone who understands that learning about home life, walks, toys, and all the exciting things that come with being a beloved pet will take time. I'm also looking for a home with a confident and friendly dog to learn from. So what do you say? Can I be your everything? ❗️ Important Things to Know If Considering Adopting One Of These Beagles ❗️ These dogs are incredibly sweet, but they will need patient, understanding adopters who are 100% committed to helping them adjust to life as beloved pets. * Another dog is required. A friendly, confident dog in the home will help them learn routines, build confidence, and adjust more quickly. * Safety is critical. They are an extreme flight risk and must always be securely managed outdoors with appropriate equipment. Even fenced yards are not enough on their own. * Everything is new. Everyday sights, sounds, people, pets, and experiences may be overwhelming at first. They will need time to explore the world at their own pace. * Go slow. Calm voices, gentle handling, and predictable routines will help them feel safe. They may shut down when frightened or overstimulated. * House training will take time. Patience and consistency are a must as they learn what life in a home is all about. * Most importantly, these are not "plug-and-play" pets. They will require time, patience, understanding, and possibly professional training.
