Somewhere out there, Violet's pack is waiting for her. Approximately 2 years old, Violet is a beautiful husky mix with piercing blue eyes, a gentle soul, and a remarkable story of resilience. Violet was found alone in a field after what is believed to have been a devastating car accident. She was pregnant, missing part of her tail, had lost part of a paw, and the skin had been torn from her foot. One of our Animal Control Officers rushed her for emergency veterinary care, where she spent a week fighting to recover. Tragically, she lost her puppies during that time. Despite everything she has endured, Violet has never lost her loving spirit. Today, Violet is a happy, affectionate dog who has discovered the joys of toys, dog friends, and simply being loved. She enjoys spending time outdoors and would happily be your gardening companion, patio buddy, or walking partner. One of her favorite things is simply being near her people, quietly watching whatever you're doing and enjoying your company. Like many huskies, Violet thrives on connection and companionship. Because of her past, she can struggle with being left alone and would do best in a home where she feels part of a stable pack. An adopter who is home frequently and/or another friendly canine companion would help Violet feel secure and continue building her confidence. Violet enjoys walks, has done well with other dogs, appears to be cat-friendly, and prefers peaceful environments over busy, noisy settings. Violet is currently being fostered by a veterinarian who knows her well and is committed to helping her transition successfully into her forever home. Her foster is available to answer questions and provide guidance to help ensure a smooth adjustment. After everything shes survived, Violet isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for a place to belong. If you think Violet could be part of your pack, please reach out to her foster to learn more: drdoyledvm@gmail.com
