It's not been easy getting used to being here, it's nothing like quiet home with my people. I love being around people and getting sweet and loving attention, so it didn't take long at all to get used to the new faces here that are kind and friendly people! When you meet me, just hold out your hand and let me sniff, then I'll allow you to pet my head and neck, and may pet you back! Then suddenly I will almost stand on my head as I roll over to squirm and be as cute as a bug in a rug showing how much I enjoy your attention! I'll need to get more comfortable with you before letting you pet me a lot. I'm too nervous here to let you pick me up, or cuddle, but at home, one day soon you will see the big cuddle bug I normally was before! I'll want to be wherever you are whenever you're home! I've been quietly sitting in my room most of the time, but when I hear someone, I'll come out talking to let you know I'm here and have been waiting to meet you! I haven't been interested in toys here. At home I was very playful and occasionally had fun zoomies around the house! I am beginning to play with a wand toy a little inside, but too nervous when I'm out. After a few days here, I expect to come out into the room every chance I get to explore, peep in on my neighbors, and lay on the desk cushion like a queen! There are all kinds of toys out to try, but I can't let my guard down enough here to pay them any attention. At home you can help me relax with wand toys. As I relax to play and have fun, it will be easier to relax around people too, especially if we've been playing together! I'll have more fun exploring and climbing to get familiar with my new home and coming to sit with you when I'm done. I will like having squishy blankets on the furniture and a soft bed in a quiet spot, and of course a cat tree with a sleeper box built into the middle for climbing and perching up high to watch the birds outside and my favorite people indoors! I don't seem to like their Purina One dry food, I DO like Fancy Feast can tuna feast, and Fancy Feast delights tuna with cheddar. So let's try other tuna flavors! Give me yummy treats to help win me over even faster! Let me show off how I can take them from you when you hold one out! Help me feel safe with tender loving care, and I will love and adore my new people!
