Meet Caramel! Approximately 5 months old, Caramel is a gorgeous German Shepherd mix with giant paws, an even bigger heart, and a personality that keeps everyone smiling. We have a feeling shes going to grow into a very big girl! Caramel is outgoing, social, and absolutely adores people. Shes never met a stranger and is always ready to make a new friend. Shes also dog friendly and plays gently with her small foster brothers and the smaller puppies she has met. This sweet girl has plenty of puppy energy and is looking for an active family that will help her channel it in positive ways. She loves hiking, exploring the outdoors, and perhaps most importantly, water! Give her the chance, and shell happily leap into a pond. Purely hypothetical, of course. Were definitely not saying that this happened once at a local park ... She is house trained and does well in her crate when left alone, although she may voice a few opinions before settling down if youre home. Caramel should be crated when left alone to keep her safe and to avoid the risk losing your snacks to an expert counter surfer. Caramel is eager to learn and would thrive with a family committed to continuing her positive reinforcement training. She also needs mental enrichment and regular exercise to keep that smart Shepherd brain busy. A securely fenced yard is required. She can coexist with cats but will chase if they run, and because of her size and enthusiastic nature, she would do best in a home with older children. Caramel is current on vaccines and prevention and is microchipped. She will be adopted with a spay contract to give her bones time to grow. Her adoption fee is $350.
