This handsome boy has been through a lot in his life and is hoping to finally find the forever home he deserves. Blue has lived with other dogs and done well, and he has experience living with children of all ages. He's housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, and already knows several commands, including "Sit," "Lay Down," and "Get into your Crate." He's a smart dog who enjoys having structure and knowing what's expected of him. Don't let his age fool you, Blue still has plenty of energy and loves to stay active. He's a strong boy who enjoys walks, adventures, and spending time with his people. He also rides well in the car, making him a great companion for road trips and outings. Blue is a lovable and loyal dog who forms strong bonds with the people he loves. He can be protective of his family and enjoys being close to those he trusts. One of his favorite pastimes is chewing on toys he'll happily destroy them, but he doesn't eat the pieces, just enjoys the challenge! Like many dogs, Blue has a few dislikes. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals! We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.
