This 2 1/2-year-old, 65-pound Shepherd mix is equal parts athlete, best friend, and couch companion. Miley is smart, eager to learn, and always ready to earn a treat. She already knows how to sit, shake, and lie down, and her food motivation makes training both easy and enjoyable. Miley can catch treats. She loves having a job to do and would thrive with a family that enjoys continuing her training and keeping her mind engaged. When it comes to fun, Miley has one true passion: balls. Toss one and watch her spring into action. Whether it's a game of fetch in the yard or carrying her favorite toy around the house, Miley approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. Miley does well with other dogs, but initially she is reactive because she is fearful, we believe she has been attacked by another dog in the past. She takes her cues from the dogs around her. If a dog approaches calmly and respectfully, Miley is happy to meet them and does just fine. However, if a dog comes charging toward her barking and acting excited, Miley will likely respond in kind. Because of this, introductions should be thoughtful and controlled. Miley has attended doggie daycare and done very well there. She loves to play in an environment where she feels safe. Miley would be happy as an only dog, or with a canine companion who has good social skills and doesn't feel the need to compete with her. While Miley enjoys canine company, people are truly her favorite. More than anything, Miley wants a person of her own. She is incredibly loyal and forms strong bonds with the humans she loves. Whether you're heading out on an adventure, throwing a tennis ball in the yard, or relaxing on the couch, Miley wants to be right there with you. She is wonderful with kids and has a gentle, affectionate side that shines once she feels safe and loved. A physically fenced yard is required for Miley. She loves to run, play, chase toys, and burn off energy, and a fenced yard gives her the freedom to safely enjoy all her favorite activities.
