About Parrot

Meet Parrot! He is a sweet, playful puppy who came to us with his siblings. While all of his brothers and sisters have found their forever homes, Parrot is still waiting for his turn. Due to an injury he had when he arrived, he had to stay behind and continue his recovery. While he's doing great, his injury will likely require some attention and care in the future. Don't let that fool you, though Parrot is still very much a puppy! He loves to play, explore, and soak up all the affection he can get. This happy little guy has a big heart and an even bigger personality, and he's ready to bring endless smiles to a family willing to give him the love and support he deserves. Parrot has watched all his siblings leave for their new adventures. Now it's his turn to find a forever home where he can continue to grow, play, and be cherished. Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. You can click on "More About Us" to the right and then click on "Adoption Application" button which will take you to our website where you can actually apply. You can also go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you! Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $400. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP.
