About Scruff
Scruff is a vibrant young Australian Cattle Dog mix with a zest for adventure. Rescued from a shelter in Oklahoma, he’s about a year and a half old and tips the scale at just under 50 pounds. He’s been exploring the trails and mountain biking routes around Bellingham, WA, eagerly checking in with his human after every sprint into the brush. This friendly pup loves meeting new canine friends and thrives on playful interactions, especially with smaller, spirited dogs. While he hasn’t lived with cats, his keen curiosity may inspire a chase if they dart away. Scruff is wonderful with people and kids, although his playful nature can include soft nibbles. He is quick to learn and responds well to guidance, making him a candidate for fun activities like agility or horse riding. A true companion, Scruff thinks of himself as a lap dog and enjoys being close to his humans. When he isn’t making you laugh with his cute antics, he is focused on training and earning treats. Scruff is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. To become Scruff’s forever home, please complete an application through the Western Australian Shepherd Rescue. They're looking for adopters ready for training, exercise, and social adventures. Your new best friend is just one click away.
