About Stewart
Meet Stewart! Stewart’s journey started when he was found as a stray, lost without a microchip or any signs of ownership. Since entering foster care, he’s proven to be a delightful companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Now living happily with his foster mom, Debbie, and her two dogs, Stewart has integrated nicely into their pack. His behavior has improved since his neutering, making him a lovable housemate. He gets along with dogs and is equally content whether as the only dog or sharing space with another friendly companion. Stewart has also met the resident cat and handled that encounter with respect and curiosity, showing no interest in chasing. A confident little soul, he can bring moments of energetic play before settling down to relax by your side, bringing comfort and charm wherever he goes. Stewart is also an attentive watchdog—he alerts the household to sounds and movements without excessive barking. Once he’s let you know, he’s back to being the cuddly dog you adore. He has excellent house manners, is both crate-trained and house trained, and he now reliably asks to go outdoors. Stewart loves walks, does well on a leash, and enjoys exploring the neighborhood. This affectionate little guy warms up quickly to visitors and adores attention, giving you the perfect mix of playful antics and sweet snuggles. If you’re searching for a charming and entertaining companion, Stewart might just be your match. By adopting him, you’re gaining a lifetime of laughter and love. Stewart will be coming to the DC metro area in early July. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
