About Andre
Meet Andre, the friendly 105-pound Great Pyrenees/Husky mix. At 7.5 years old, he’s a goofy, cuddly lovebug who loves being close to his people. Whether it's following you around or flopping over for belly rubs, he just thrives on attention and affection. Andre has great house manners; he's fully house-trained and crate-trained, happily responding to "kennel" when it's time to settle. He knows commands like sit, down, and place, and is motivated by treats, making him an excellent candidate for further training. While primarily low-energy at home, he does enjoy walks and bursts of play, especially with his rope toy. He can pull on the leash when excited but is improving with guidance. He’s good with cats and gets along well with children. Although he may take a moment to warm up to new people, treats can work wonders. Andre isn’t ideal for dog parks or high-energy dog interactions; he can feel overwhelmed, but with the right introductions, he might coexist with a calmer furry friend. This gentle giant enjoys a structured home and a family that can provide stability and understanding, especially when it comes to managing his excitement.
