About Beaker
Meet Beaker, a truly special little guy looking for a loving home. This charming Miniature Poodle mix was found in poor condition in a Connecticut park, but he has rebounded beautifully after some care. At around 15 to 16 years old, Beaker doesn’t let his age slow him down. He loves to explore the yard and enjoys short walks, showing he’s still got plenty of spirit. With an appetite that’s still strong, he manages to eat just fine, even with no lower jaw and missing teeth, using an elevated bowl to make things easier. Beaker does have some health considerations. He has a grade 4 heart murmur and stage B1 mitral valve disease, but he doesn’t require medication just yet. He will need regular check-ups every 6 to 9 months. Additionally, due to his advanced age and heart murmur, we are opting out of surgery for his testicular mass and have confirmed through chest X-rays that there’s no immediate concern regarding cancer. Though he may seem like an old man, Beaker has a playful side; he enjoys engaging with other dogs, although he may annoy them at times before settling down. This little muppet is affectionate and thrives on human attention. If you can provide Beaker with a caring home, he will bring joy to your life. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
