About Giles
Giles is the kind of dog who wins hearts everywhere he goes. This incredibly sweet boy spent years as a cherished companion to an elderly couple. When his owners' health began to decline, Giles stayed with family for a while. Unfortunately, during that time, he was hit by a car, which led to nerve damage in his hind end and resulted in the docking of his tail. Eventually, when his owners could no longer care for him, Giles found himself in rescue, ready for a new beginning. Despite everything life has thrown his way, Giles remains one of the gentlest, most easygoing dogs you'll ever meet. He truly is our unofficial dog tester; if another dog can’t get along with Giles, they probably won’t get along with anyone. He adores other dogs and has a calm, social nature that makes him a favorite among both people and pups. Giles does experience some minor bowel incontinence due to the nerve damage from his injury. However, this has been well-managed through dietary changes, and his current high-fiber prescription diet has shown significant improvement. At this time, the issue is pretty much non-existent. He enjoys the simple things: the company of other dogs, love from his people, a cozy place to rest, and the comfort of knowing he’s cherished. Giles is looking for a compassionate family who will appreciate him for the exceptional dog he is. He may not be perfect, but his gentle heart is what truly makes him special. If you’re in search of a kind, dog-friendly companion with an endless capacity for love, Giles could be the perfect addition to your family. Click apply to start the adoption process.
