About Hamilton

Meet Hamilton, affectionately known as Hambone: a charming and affectionate pittie with a heart full of love. At around 5 years old, this sweet boy entered the shelter as a stray, showing signs of a tough past. Despite this, he has proven to be incredibly gentle and eager to please, winning over everyone he encounters with his hugs and heartwarming smile. Hamilton is a dedicated lover, jumping up to give heartfelt hugs and kisses. His calm demeanor makes him an ideal companion for cozy evenings at home, where his funny snores will surely bring a smile. He enjoys discovering toys, loves fetching, and carries them with pride. Always by your side, Hamilton thrives on companionship and affection. He adjusts well with his current foster family, getting along with their dogs—a senior chihuahua mix and a larger shepherd/pittie mix—after a thoughtful introduction. His play is more rough-and-tumble, but he never displays aggression. Though he’s met toddlers and was gentle, he’d likely do best in a home with older kids. Hamilton is fully house trained and has not had any accidents. He prefers his cozy dog bed over a crate and behaves well in the house. While he is leash trained, he is learning to walk calmly without pulling. His routine includes walks, bathroom breaks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles. A loving home where he can relax and receive attention would suit Hamilton perfectly. He doesn't mind being around other pets but would also be happy as the only companion where there’s no shortage of love. Ready to leave behind his rough past, Hamilton seeks a forever home full of warmth and cuddles. This could be the start of something paw-some. Apply to adopt!
