At 2½ years old, this adorable Pekapoo (a Pekingese and Poodle mix) knows what love means but has also experienced more heartbreak than any dog should in his short life. Chopper was given away after his family claimed they had no time for him. After being passed to a stranger in a parking lot, he worked hard to adjust again, especially bonding with a 6-year-old child who became his best friend. Unfortunately, when his family's circumstances changed, they reached out for help, leading Chopper back to rescue and into a foster home once more. In his loving foster environment, Chopper has blossomed. He remains playful, friendly, and very smart despite the challenges he’s faced. He loves to carry stuffed toys, play with other dogs, and snuggle up for couch time during TV sessions. Chopper is house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He enjoys car rides, especially if they involve a tasty pup cup. Chopper is not just looking for a new place but for his forever family—a family that will give him the love and stability he deserves.
