About Birdie

Birdie is a delightful momma who found her way to us from Texas after nurturing ten puppies. Despite arriving in poor condition, her resilience and spirit shine through. She’s fun, playful, and incredibly affectionate—a special moment was watching her discover her reflection in the mirror and bark with excitement as if she’d met a new friend. Love, toys, and peanut butter are her top favorites, in that order. Birdie has done well with other dogs but needs a careful introduction. Ideally, she would thrive with another dog that matches her energy. However, she would be perfectly happy as the only love in someone's life. Birdie isn’t suited for young children; a home with teenagers and older would be best. She’s crate-trained and has proven to be house trained. Birdie sleeps soundly in her crate all night and is making great progress with leash training. She enjoys gentle walks, taking time to explore all the interesting smells along the way. After everything she’s been through, Birdie deserves a loving home where she can feel safe and truly enjoy being a dog.
