About Cayenne

Meet Cayenne. Cayenne is a shy and scared dog who needs an experienced adopter. She likely spent a significant time on her own and is now learning how to be a family pet again. Currently, she is on a drag leash at the rescue or kept in a kennel as she adjusts. At around 14 pounds and 2 years old, she’s a small Jack Russell Terrier mix. Cayenne is fully vetted and ready for her forever home. It may take several meetings before she feels comfortable enough for petting or being picked up. It’s important to note that she requires a home with at least one other dog and a secure, fully fenced yard; apartments are not suitable for her. Though she's starting to walk on a leash, she still needs some practice. Cayenne came from South Texas with a litter of puppies, but there’s so much more for her to experience. She's currently in foster care in Round Rock. Ready to meet this sweet girl? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
