About Abyss
Meet Abyss, also known as Missy Abyssie or Byssie for short. She's a nearly three-year-old, fourteen-pound beauty with a glossy black coat and a surprisingly tiny meow that doesn’t quite match her presence. This little quirk is just one of the many things that make her special. Abyss came to our rescue when her family had to move and couldn’t take her along. Though it wasn’t her plan, she’s adapting and cautiously exploring what comes next. Abyss enjoys attention, but she likes it on her terms, engaging fully when she’s in the mood. If she’s not, she’ll let you know—with a nip here and there to clarify her boundaries. Playtime is a highlight for her, especially when it involves sneaking behind a hanging sheet to bat at a wand toy, adding a touch of drama to her antics. When she’s not playing, she loves to take long naps and enjoys her snacks, maybe a little too much. A supportive home that will help her shed some weight gradually would be ideal. With those striking green eyes and an impressive stature, she carries her weight with confidence. Abyss has shown some curiosity toward other cats but hasn’t had enough time to fully settle in with them. Therefore, her compatibility with dogs and children remains unknown. She likely would thrive in a calm, quiet environment, preferably as the only pet or with a very chill companion who’ll respect her space after a gentle introduction. Overall, Abyss is charismatic and carries a lot of love. The perfect adopter will surely fall for her charms! Ready to meet her? Click apply to start the adoption process.
