Cocoabean is a 13-year-old tortoiseshell who radiates affection and resilience. This beautiful girl has endured a lot; recently, she was abandoned in a carrier but was lucky enough to be discovered by a Good Samaritan, who brought her to the Alaska Humane Society. Thanks to her microchip, she was safely returned to us. Cocoabean’s ears show the signs of past neglect due to untreated infections and mites, resulting in permanent changes. While she currently has no active infections, her narrower ear canals mean she requires regular cleaning and monitoring to prevent future issues. Keeping an eye out for signs like head shaking or unusual odors will be important in maintaining her ear health. Despite her past, Cocoabean is sweet and playful, with a personality that shines brightly. She adapts well to her surroundings, getting along with dogs, cats, and children alike.
