Meet Bucky! This loyal and loving five-year-old is ready to embark on a new journey and find his forever home. As a mix of Labrador Retriever and American Pitbull Terrier, Bucky is the kind of dog who leads with his heart. Affectionate and devoted, he’s also a fantastic snuggle buddy who loves to be close by. House-trained and crate-trained, he knows commands like sit, shake, come, and leave it. Bucky excels at car rides, enjoys squeaky toys, and has a knack for earning belly rubs. Sweet and goofy, Bucky is impressively intelligent and picks up on new commands quickly. With proper guidance, he could master advanced obedience or learn fun new tricks while being the well-mannered companion you’ve always wanted. This handsome boy with his cream-colored coat is a whole lot of love, ready to make himself comfortable next to you on the couch. Bucky would thrive as the only pet at home. While he may adapt to a calm, giant-breed companion with an experienced owner, he isn’t suited for homes with cats or small animals due to his high prey drive. He has shown some reactivity towards assertive dogs after a past altercation in his foster home. In the care of a loving foster family, Bucky has made tremendous progress over the last year. He thrives on consistency and structure, demonstrating the affectionate and loyal nature that he possesses. Although he has a few sensitivities—such as a dislike for loud noises and a nervousness around nail trims—he is devoted to those he trusts. When confident, he calmly allows his foster dad to handle nail trimming with minimal fuss. Bucky comes with all the essentials: a crate, bed, leash, toys, and food. After patiently waiting for the right home, this loving boy is keen to share his heart and needs someone ready to give him that second chance. Is that person you?
