Milo is house trained and knows several commands like sit, stay, down, and speak. He loves to start his mornings with a walk followed by breakfast and prefers keeping a routine that includes lots of outdoor adventures. While naps are enjoyable, he’d much rather be out exploring, playing, and spending quality time with his humans. Playtime is one of Milo’s favorite activities. He enjoys fetch, stuffed toys, and interactive games. Milo is highly motivated by praise and thrives on being included in daily activities. Once he feels at ease with someone, he’ll shower them with affection and funny sounds that come from his expressive personality. Although Milo can be nervous around new people, he warms up if allowed the time to approach at his own pace. It’s best if newcomers crouch down and let him come to them. While he enjoys affection, he can be sensitive about having his face touched. He will tolerate being picked up, but it’s not his favorite. Homes with cats are not suitable for him, and he’d likely do best in an adult-only household or one with older, dog-savvy teens. At home, Milo enjoys sleeping in his bed or cuddling next to his person. He currently eats Hill’s Science Diet and is not crate trained. He sometimes experiences motion sickness during car rides, likely due to limited travel experience, but this may improve. Recently, he has had some accidents in the house, which his family believes are linked to not getting enough activity and mental stimulation. They anticipate this will improve in a more active environment.
