About Sparky
Sparky is a strikingly handsome, sweet-natured seven-year-old male cat, weighing in at 17.68 pounds. With his golden eyes and ginger buff and white tabby coat, he’s hard to resist. From the very first night in rescue, he made himself at home, joining his foster parent for snuggles. Sparky enjoys following his person around and loves to cuddle next to you on the couch, although he isn’t a lap cat. He also appreciates being carried and is all about belly rubs, rolling over enthusiastically when pets are offered. While he may give a little hiss if he's had too much brushing, he has never bitten anyone and instead seeks out affection with gentle headbutts. He's a well-mannered feline who uses his litter box without issue. Sparky is currently transitioning from a strictly dry food diet to wet food to help him reach a healthy weight. In addition to having complete bloodwork and vaccinations for rabies and distemper, he has also been tested for viruses, has a clean fecal test, and is microchipped. Flea and parasite prevention has been taken care of as well. If you’re interested in giving Sparky the loving home he deserves, please fill out an adoption application. After that, reach out to schedule a meet-up. His adoption fee of $175 aids in helping other rescued pets. Sparky is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. What are you waiting for?
