About King Louie And Baloo

King Louie and his companion Baloo were surrendered back to animal control after many years in a home. Despite being about 12 years old, King Louie has plenty of energy—he’s a tabby and white domestic shorthair with a round build and a big appetite for life. He enjoys hiding in tunnel toys and lunging at unsuspecting passersby, making playtime lively. He loves food of all kinds and never misses a meal; portion control will be important since he’s not shy about asking for seconds. King Louie doesn’t like being picked up, but he genuinely enjoys being petted and getting attention. He’s front-paw declawed, though he still mimics scratching posts. He needs to stay with Baloo, his longtime buddy and opposite in personality—King Louie likes to ā€˜protect’ Baloo and their bond is strong. He isn’t living with children now, but should do well with kids age 9 or older who respect his boundaries, as he gives gentle bites if overstimulated. King Louie must be the only cat in the house besides Baloo, and while he’s met a dog in foster care and wasn’t bothered much, a calm, mostly indifferent dog would be best. Recently, after starting anti-anxiety medication, his previous litterbox issues resolved and he takes the medication easily hidden in wet food. King Louie and Baloo are a package deal looking for a stable home ready for their unique personalities and quirks. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
