Meet Bubba, a 3-year-old Lab/Pyrenees mix who is ready for a fresh start after a tough past. Originally from Louisiana, this gentle giant was surrendered with two other dogs due to financial difficulties faced by his previous owner. Bubba’s journey has been rocky; after being pulled from the shelter, his first foster home fell through, leading him to two weeks in boarding that left him restless and longing for companionship. Now, Bubba is 66 pounds and working to regain his healthy weight of around 80 pounds. He is a loving shadow dog who enjoys following his humans and simply wants a family that will provide kindness and consistency. While Bubba has some teeth that show signs of wear from a difficult past, he experiences no pain and eats normally. Bubba is currently undergoing heartworm treatment; however, he shows no symptoms, and all medication will be supplied to his future adopter. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He thrives in a home with a fenced yard, prefers to avoid crates, and would do best with someone home during the day. Children should be at least 7 years old.
