Puppy Delilah deserves so much more than what she’s experienced so far. Though she was originally labeled an "Anatolian Shepherd mix," she seems to be more a mix of Labrador and Hound. At just 10 months and around 50 pounds, she carries a heart full of love and potential waiting to be unlocked. What’s truly heartbreaking is her past. For most of her young life, Delilah has spent nearly 20 hours a day confined to a large crate in an apartment. This isn't due to her being a bad dog—quite the opposite. She's been deprived of the chance to run, explore, and simply be a puppy. Instead of playing, she’s been watching life go by from behind crate bars. Delilah's shyness with new people is understandable given her limited social interaction. Yet, underneath that initial hesitation lies a sweet and gentle spirit yearning to connect. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the company of people. Already well crate-trained, she needs an opportunity to experience life outside those walls. What Delilah truly craves is simple. She needs a yard to roam, a cozy couch for naps, and a family that will cherish her. With your help, whether through fostering or permanent adoption, you could dramatically change her life for the better. Delilah is beautiful, sweet, and lonely.
