About Fen
Click apply to start the adoption process. Fen has spent too many days watching the world go by from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this loving 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left alone at an empty house, though caring neighbors made sure he wasn't completely forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived inside, but after his owner's health declined, so did Fen’s circumstances, slipping gradually into a life of neglect and isolation. Despite all this, Fen’s spirit remains compassionate and optimistic. Full of quiet enthusiasm, Fen is genuinely grateful for every moment of attention he receives. When given the freedom to roam, he truly comes alive, especially enjoying the chance to run and play — rediscovering the simple joys of being a dog. He already knows 'sit,' walks politely on a leash, and his intelligence shines through in how quickly he listens and learns. Fen craves connection, leaning in for warmth and affection as though he’s been saving his love for just the right person. After years spent primarily outside, Fen may need a little patience while relearning the basics of house living, but he’s had a home before and is eager to get it right again. Still a bit underweight, Fen’s condition is a visible reminder of his hardships, but also a hopeful sign of just how much brighter his future can be with the right family. Fen isn’t broken — he’s affectionate, loyal, and so ready to thrive in a home where he’ll never be left behind again. All he’s looking for is a safe, warm place, regular meals, and the promise of belonging. Make his future the one he truly deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
