About Rocco
Meet Rocco, a very special case ready to find his forever home. At 1 year and 7 months, Rocco is a neutered male Dogo Argentino weighing about 80 lbs. Heโs a big bundle of love and energy, eager for guidance and affection. Known to us since he was a puppy, Rocco has undergone extensive rehabilitation over the past four months. His journey includes neutering, updated vaccinations, healing from several wounds, regaining healthy weight, and starting basic training. There's been remarkable progress, but Rocco will need continued structure and guidance to thrive. You may notice that his left rear leg looks a tad different. After breaking it as a puppy, it was repaired by an orthopedic surgeon. While the bone didn't heal perfectly straight, it doesn't hinder him at all; he runs and plays with joy. He will need daily anti-inflammatory medication to manage occasional soreness, but that doesn't dampen his zest for life. Roccoโs ideal home is one filled with love, especially from older kids, since he doesnโt see himself as a large dog. He does well with other dogs but may require gentle reminders to play appropriately. This is a dog who deserves stability and love in his forever home. If you're interested in adopting this sweet 80-lb love bug, or you know someone who might be, please reach out to our clinic at 214-547-8387. Together, let's help Rocco find the loving home he truly deserves.
