This sweet, senior Bichon Frise/Poodle mix was found wandering alone in Rouge Park, a place notorious for abandoned pets. His condition implied he had been left behind, struggling to survive. When rescued, Benson was covered in matted fur tangled with burrs, causing him discomfort. To ease his suffering, he needed to be completely shaved, but with time and proper grooming, his coat will grow back beautifully. Despite his past, Benson remains remarkably kind and friendly. He greets everyone with a cheerful demeanor, appreciating all the love and attention he receives. At around ten years old, he shows signs of aging, such as cloudy eyes and decreased hearing. He also had serious dental issues due to neglect but retains an affectionate spirit. Benson gets along well with other dogs and has no problems with cats. He would thrive in a quieter home with older, dog-savvy children or adults, where he can enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. He’s house-trained, crate trained, and loves the comfort of home.
