About Propane
Propane is a handsome young fella with loads of potential in his compact frame. At around 8-9 months old, he came to us as a scared stray but has started to blossom during his time here. Important to his long-term success is the presence of other dogs. Propane flourishes when he’s around another confident dog, which helps him navigate the challenges of feeling like a cherished family member and learning to feel secure in his environment. He has bonded with many furry friends here, including adoptables like Rose, Emma, and Cha-Cha, and being such a young pup means he has plenty of friendships ahead. While he will likely adapt well to kids of all ages, we think older children might be ideal for him—they can appreciate that he needs a little space to adjust. Although he has never shown aggression, we want to ensure that he feels safe and comfortable in his new home. We’re still figuring out his compatibility with cats, but as a puppy, he has a lot of room to learn. Propane is one of those hidden gems you hear us talk about. He may take a moment to warm up, but with your patience, you’ll be rewarded with a joyful and energetic companion. Come visit the shelter and bring your resident pups for a meet-and-greet. His adoption fee is $45, and our address is 26 Frosty Lane, Stafford, VA 22554. We ask potential adopters to bring a picture ID with your current address.
