Cody is a charming 7-year-old black shepherd who weighs about 70 pounds. He’s loyal, loving, and a bit goofy, characteristics that shine through despite some recent loneliness. Having lost his previous owner, he’s been trying to navigate life without that close connection, feeling the absence of a true home. At his core, Cody is affectionate and playful. He absolutely loves fetch—if you throw the ball, he’ll bring it back repeatedly. He enjoys snuggling up next to his person on the bed, as it gives him a sense of safety. Cody is good with kids and other dogs. While he might be a little aloof initially, he warms up quickly and enjoys playing with his furry friends. He can be protective and will bark at dogs outside, but he prefers actual playdates over window greetings. With excellent house manners and a knack for using a dog door, Cody is comfortable with stairs and car rides. He thrives in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play.
