About Aster
Aster is proof that some of the most extraordinary cats come in the smallest packages. Born with a rare condition that caused both of her eyes to be underdeveloped, Aster has been blind since birth. To prevent future complications, her eyes were surgically removed. During her recovery, Aster learned to navigate the world in her feline way. When introduced to a new space, she takes her time to investigate using her keen sense of smell and hearing. Within minutes, she confidently maps out the room as well as any sighted cat. Her blindness doesn't hold her back; Aster is playful, adventurous, and confident. She races up and down cat trees, navigates stairs with ease, and enjoys "bird watching" from the catio near the feeders. Her favorite toys are crunchy balls that she bats around for hours, fetching them back for another toss. Most wouldn't realize there's anything different about her until they take a closer look. Aster embodies the spirit of overcoming obstacles. She thrives with joy and curiosity, and sheโs incredibly social, getting along wonderfully with other cats and even having a special soft spot for dogs. If you're looking for a truly remarkable companion, Aster might be the perfect match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
