About Azalea
Azalea is a delightful ten-month-old terrier mix, likely with some Jack Russell in her. Weighing around 15 lbs, she’s not expected to grow much more, making her a perfect small companion. This sweet girl loves playing with her toys and getting along with other dogs, including large ones. Remarkably, Azalea also gets along with cats; in fact, a former feral cat she lives with seems quite fond of her. She’s a curious pup who enjoys exploring her surroundings. You might catch her grabbing things that fall on the floor, but she will return them when you call her back. Azalea thrives on companionship and prefers to be close, often snuggling on your lap or next to you on the couch. Although she can get a little excited when waiting for her people, she calms down with a bit of affection. Crate training is a breeze for her, and she’s fully potty trained, always doing her business outside. Adopters should live within 75 miles of Racine, WI, and will need to complete an application before a meet and greet. Along with an adoption fee of $300, there’s a $100 deposit for mandatory training classes, aimed at ensuring a smooth transition into your home. All adopters will receive support for basic obedience training at an approved facility. Adoption is an adventure, and Azalea is ready to start hers with you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
