Thought to be an Australian Kelpie and Rat Terrier mix, she was surrendered as a young puppy after becoming severely ill and has since traveled between several rescues before settling into a foster home in Wisconsin. Princess is living with canine type 1 diabetes, so she needs an adopter devoted to daily care, monitoring blood glucose, and keeping a tight schedule for her insulin shots and meals. Her routine is strict, but she’s otherwise a happy, playful pup who enjoys calm walks, chew toys, and relaxing with her people. This sweet girl thrives in quieter, predictable homes and is best matched with families who can provide structure and plenty of love. Princess gets along with calm dogs and ignores cats, and she loves older kids, though she needs slow introductions due to her declining vision. She’s house trained but needs frequent outdoor breaks.
