About Big Boy
Meet Big Boy. Big Boy is a 3-year-old, 73 lb lab mix who arrived at the shelter from a challenging situation, timid and unsure of himself. Over time, he has started to open up, capturing the hearts of everyone who takes the time to know him. This sweet dog exhibits a gentle nature and moves through life with a soft demeanor, stopping to sniff everything during his walks. Though he can be a bit hesitant initially, once comfortable, Big Boy becomes incredibly affectionate and is eager to be close to his person. He recently participated in a magazine photoshoot, where he impressed everyone with his relaxed and friendly attitude, even when shy. His behavior around other dogs has been appropriate, and having a calm canine companion could help him continue to build confidence. With his low energy, Big Boy is easy to leash and walk, making him a genuinely sweet addition to any home. While he may not be the loudest character in the shelter, the bond formed with him quickly becomes deep and meaningful. If you have a resident dog, we highly recommend they meet Big Boy to ensure a good fit. Come by to meet him in Greensboro, NC, any day except Tuesdays between 12 and 4 p.m. No appointment is needed.
