About Austin

Austin is a two-year-old pit mix filled with joy, weighing around 35 pounds. He arrived at a crowded shelter and initially shut down, but now that he's out, he has transformed into an enthusiastic adventure buddy who radiates happiness. Austin approaches life with playful curiosity, his tail wagging and nose exploring everything around him. Austin is affectionate and eager to please, making him a delight to be around. He’s currently honing his basic skills, such as leash manners and house training, and is doing great with crate training. His food motivation helps make training a fun experience. Even though he may take a moment to warm up to new people, once he trusts you, he’s incredibly loving and snuggly—envision a committed companion who loves to be right on your lap. He thrives best with an experienced dog person since he’s still learning manners and managing his excitement. Austin enjoys the company of other dogs but needs patient mates who can handle his energetic nature as he sharpens his social skills. Austin is ready for a second chance, just seeking the right person to share his joy with.
