About Dove
Dove is a gentle adult dilute calico who’s seen some tougher days but never lost her sweet nature. She is FIV+, so her immune system isn’t the strongest, but her health issues are manageable and she generally leads a typical cat life. During stressful times, Dove might start to sneeze—a side effect of the FIV according to her vet—but this doesn’t mean she’s sick, just that her immune system is under a bit more strain in those moments. Dove does well with other cats and dogs, as long as everyone gets along; FIV is only spread through deep bites, so peaceful homes are fine. She came to the shelter from a hoarding background with lots of animals, which likely explains the FIV. Since arriving, Dove has become noticeably happier and more relaxed. She got her name because she makes little cooing sounds that genuinely resemble a dove—honestly, it’s one of her cutest quirks and makes her stand out. At around 6 years old, Dove may look a bit older than her age, probably due to tough times before rescue. This is a cat with her own charm and a resilient spirit who’s ready for a calm, loving home.
