Nino
AvailableNino is a small, neutered male with Poodle and Maltese in his mix. As an adult dog, he’s vaccinated and currently living in Westminster, MD. Nino is house trained, making him a comfortable fit for many homes. He’s looking for someone patient who can help guide him as he continues to build confidence and trust.
About Nino
Nino is a sweet little Maltipoo who quickly bonded with his foster, showing just how affectionate he can be when given the chance. Before arriving in care, he didn’t get much socialization and came to his foster home very anxious and timid. He’s learning that the world is bigger and more interesting than he realized, especially with patient encouragement. Nino has a soft, velvet-like coat and that classic poodle charm. He loves to cuddle by your side or nap quietly at your feet. While he gets along with other dogs, he mostly keeps to himself and prefers human companionship. He enjoys walks and explores nicely on leash, picking up new commands quickly—he’s food motivated and smart, making training enjoyable for both sides. Nino is house trained and even lets you sleep in if you want, quietly resting on his bed. He is crate trained but doesn’t actually need a crate; he’s well-behaved and self-sufficient when left alone. For Nino to shine, he needs a calm, quiet household and someone either familiar with poodle types or with a peaceful approach. Busy homes or those with lots of visitors are not his style. No small children, but he’s fine with cats and generally easy-going with other dogs. Nino’s next chapter is about gaining confidence and learning to trust the world. Obedience classes are required to continue this progress. He’s playful, gentle, and ready for a committed adopter to help him thrive. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Nino
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Nino, as a Maltipoo (Poodle and Maltese mix), is best suited for a quiet, calm environment. Small to medium homes with stable routines work well for this breed.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Maltipoos like Nino enjoy regular walks and outdoor exploration, but they don’t require a large yard. Access to safe outdoor spaces or a small yard for supervised play will keep him happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Nino's Maltipoo mix is generally gentle and friendly, but given his nervous nature, he is not suited for homes with small children. Older, respectful kids may be a better match.
